Fantastic movie.. The pilot was odd!! Well done Amrit. I hope it features in some awards ceremony! But hey I won't be surprised if it doesn't either.. Good movies and award winning movies are two different things in Indian cinema.

Hi shiva, I agree with you about how well-made the movie is. It's a shame that such movies leave without a trace.

As far as the politics of the issue go, I don't I completely understand all the dynamics, so wouldn't want to comment on it.

Nevertheless, a highly recommended movie. At least, to get yourself thinking about the people who keep you safe in your country.

1971 is one of the best movies i have seen sofar in indian cinema. It is a thought provoking movie for selfish indians who hardly have any time to think about those who sacrificed and still sacrificing their lives for the sake of us. The brutal reality is our Government false claims that we have won the wars fought with pakistan. Infact they inflicted deadly injuries to the whole nation which are still bleeding. We lost part of kashmir and we lost our brave soldiers, and those indian soldiers who were captivated are languishing in jails and treated worst than animals. Our Governments have no guts to tackle these issues except cheating their people with false claimsthat india won the wars with pakistan. This movie shows the reality and how pakistani government is fooling the red cross and other UN agencies about the POWS.
