Quick Review

One contrived situation follows another. Each scene outdoes the previous one in defying your belief in any kind of sense. No amount of good acting can help save the careless writing.

Plot Summary

Rajiv’s (Akshay Kumar’s) maternal uncle is looking for a match for Rajiv. Sanjana’s (Katrina Kaif’s) brother Don (Nana Patekar) is looking for a match for her. Rajiv and Sanjana fall in love with each other. Yet all is not well. What? How? Why? Got to sit through this one to find out.

What worked

  • The effects used to transfer the fire on the picture frame to the auction hall in the first auction scene.

What didn’t

Note: This section simply lists the things that I did not like in this movie. This is not the overall impression about this movie. Please read the full review here
  • Several continuity jerks in the fire scene. Especially, the cuts between the mall and the function lawn were awful.
  • Why was Katrina Kaif acting all helpless in the fire when she was capable of saving herself and another man?
  • The shoddy use of digital effects - rockets, pigeons or bees.
  • Worst use of blue screen ever - the log house rocking at the edge of a cliff.
  • Why are Akshay Kumar and Nana Patekar attending the party of Welcome together, when the engagement has been called off?
